The end of the tunnel

#software#men with machines

It's been six months since I started on a journey to replace more than a few systems that run Men with Machines, finally we have a stable setup.

The original solution chosen last October turned out to be a bad mistake, I was oversold a solution from another sector with the promise of working together to create something for car clubs that didn't happen.

So despite retiring from coding a year or so back I decided to take a look at Ai software development platforms and settled on base44.com. Base44 allows me to become a product manager and use my software development experiance to get solid workable systems created very quickly. Look at some of the projects here, amazing.

We went live Thursday evening and have already had more sign ups and event ticket purchases than the whole of March using the previous software. As for members adding vehicles, we had more in one day that the full 2 months previously; partly I suppose because I asked people to recreate them.

So the lesson here, for me, is never again to be persuaded by testimonials unless I can get first hand hands on use of a platform before commiting to it.

I would like to thank the vendor to understanding our predicament, offering a partial refund and quickly exporting the data for us to import into the new system.
