A non-competitive hill climb for cars and bikes in Princes Risborough, focussing on pre-war vehicles to celebrate the events early years up until 1925.

Brighton August 2026

First time to 'the beach' since 2018 last weekend and working through my black and white photographs of Brighton today I realised I was glad I shot in RAW+JPG, which means the camera kept a full colour copy of the photo alongside the black and white version, as I'm going to present a few in colour.

The linked track Across the Ocean from my Velvet House album seems fitting for a Brighton photo set.

King's Road Chelsea Day Trip

A day out on Kings Road, Chelsea today. I don't think I have been there since the early 80's when an old flame had a basement flat in Redcliffe Sq, Earls Court.

A good day out and another shout out for the number 2 bus from Marylebone Station; Sloane Sq at the easterly end of the Kings Road being just a 20 minute walk from the Hyde Park Corner bus stop.

My favourite photos from Aston Hill Climb 100 Celebration on Saturday 17th May 2025. We (Men with Machines) provided about 45 members to run the stewarding on the day which entailed mainly display and car park vehicle management and crucially getting the hill climb cars parked up quickly and safely.

Marlin Roadster

Marlin Roadster

I built this car from a kit designed and built by Paul Moorehouse. The kit of parts was shipped by a work friends husband when he had a gap on his lorry coming back from the west country.

The base car was a rusty old purple Morris Marina 1300 saloon, stripped down in a barn on a farm up near Park Wood Estate; now residential housing I think.

Driven all over the country and then sold to get a 'normal' car to further my career as a publican. You can't get any luggage in a Marlin!
