It's hot, 32c in fact.

It's 32c here in the UK, even hotter just down the road in central London. I walked out onto the terrace just now and had flash backs to those hot Melbourne and Sydney days in the late 90's early 2000's, the smell of hot tarmac and concrete.

It also reminded me of the trips to Santa Monica in the same period, to the Norton AntiVirus head office; I'd check into Loews Santa Monica Beach (I still have one of their caps!) and walk down to the pier, loose a few rounds of speed chess then walk to the end and get a beer.

Dinner in Santa Monica or one of the well known surrounding areas with the LA based team and then an early night ready for work the next day, or off to a club and a late start with a hangover.   

The odd thing about using Ai to create an image for this post is that it put 'Est 1989' on the Loews cap. Why is that odd, I started my IT career in 1989, at Dr SOlomon's Anti-Virus.
