Mead’s Farmhouse Kitchen

I first met Simon of P.E. Mead & Sons farm just before Covid-19 when setting up Bean & Grain our retail food business (bakery and artisan local foods).
We stocked their rape seed oils and dressings under the Chiltern Cold Pressed banner. I'm really pleased to see that unlike Bean & Grain they are still going strong and the oil is still available.
A few years ago they built The Farmhouse Kitchen on the opposite side of the car park to the farm shop and it's become a regular stop for Louise and I looking for lunch or a coffee and cake.
The photograph here is taken with my iPhone 11 waiting waiting for Louise to order lunch. It's not particularly special, but captures the feeling of that sunny summers day in early August.
