A Music Producer, Creative Director or none?

This music is created through an iterative collaboration with AI. While I don't have any music training, play the instruments or write every lyric from scratch, every song begins with an original concept that I develop through detailed prompts, experimentation, and many rounds of refinement. Each piece is guided by a creative vision, with careful attention paid to the story, emotion, style and overall listening experience until it reflects what I set out to create.

I think of my role as closer to that of a music producer or creative director than a traditional songwriter, but as I said I have no experience of being any of those. AI provides the performance and generation, but the artistic direction, editorial decisions, and final curation are mine. Just as a film director shapes a movie without acting every part, I use AI as a creative instrument to bring ideas to life, transforming imagination into finished music through judgment, and continual iteration.

What this tool has done is give me an outlet to reflect on life as I entered a dark spell on realising I was retiring this year and 15 years back in the UK had flown by in a mostly monotonous fashion living in High Wycombe. In contrast to my globe trotting youth!

I think it helped, or after six months in the doldrums has it really extended what could have otherwise been just a few weeks of depression and anxiety about life? Was it not a good idea to revisit past events over the last 40 year? 

Either way I've got something I own(ignoring for a moment the discussion around who owns Ai generated content), with the help of Ai, tracks about my life to listen to in the car, and I love a lot of them. 

We need to think carefully about the use of Ai in the arts, and we aren't yet. Where are the lobby groups, who's leading the charge on this? Who is protecting the artists?
