The event, held in partnership with the Vintage Sports Car Club, includes a historic, non-profit "Climb" featuring pre-1925 vehicles, a classic car show, and an exhibition showcasing this historic motorsport venue's history."
We, Men with Machines CIC, under the guise of the Hellfire Motor Vehicle Club and Haddenham Classics provided about 45 members to run the stewarding on the day which entailed mainly display and car park vehicle management and crucially getting the hill climb cars parked up quickly and safely.
In the lead up to the even I provided advice on paddock layout and traffic management to the main committee and led the team of stewards on the day.
Our main role was to ensure all spectator and display vehicles were clear of Aston Hill well before the hill climb cars arrived from the start in Aston Clinton. Working with marshals from the the Middlesex County Automobile Club who managed the hill we successfully parked about 900 vehicles in the 3 hour window, clearing the hill in time for the runners.
